This is a Bond Original that one cannot get anywhere else!  I call it the Five Flour Bread. This is a 100% whole grain bread.

What makes it special: I freshly mill the grains used in this bread!  I use 100% whole grains for milling.  This bread contains 60% whole wheat, and 10% each of the following: rye, spelt, durum, and barley.

I roast the sunflower and pumpkin seeds that go in the dough - this brings out all the nutty flavor compared to raw seeds. Other notes are that it includes buttermilk for a little tang and just a bit of honey to take the edge off of any bitterness that may come with using whole grains (this use of a bit of honey is common with whole grain breads).

 

This loaf may look smallish,  but it is over 1 pound of fresh whole grain goodness!  In my opinion this bread is less a sandwich bread than a bread you might toast or use it to make an open face sandwich with any combination of meats, cheeses, or spreads.  But you do you.
